GENTex

GENTex is a Rio Grande Valley organization dedicated to empowering LGBTQ+ youth in the McAllen area and across South Texas. Through education, advocacy, peer support, and community organizing, GENTex creates pathways for queer and trans young people along the Texas-Mexico border to find community, develop leadership skills, and advocate for their own rights. The organization works within the unique cultural and geographic context of the RGV, serving a predominantly Latinx LGBTQ+ youth population.
